Wow, so almost 2 years(Jan 21st) and over 400 posts later this blog is still a thing. We would like to thank the academy. Also the producers and writer. I know, shut up and get to the prizes :P Well we don't actually have the prizes...yet. We need your help for that. We are having a wishlist giveaway! What's that you ask? Here's the deal, you send us your polish wishlist and we send you 3-5 polishes off of it!
Rules
- Send us a link to your wishlist. No wishlist, no prizes.
- Make sure we are able to see that wishlist.
- This is an international giveaway, but please make sure shipping polish to your country is ok.
- Please have at least 15-20 polishes on your list(you can have more), but we would love a selection.
- Know that we are not made of money, so please make sure you have a decent number of reasonably priced polishes. Which leads to the next point.
- We have the right to select a new winner if we don't think your wishlist is possible. So maybe you shouldn't enter if your wishlist consists of only Dior, discontinued Chanel polish, and a bunch of HTF polishes.
- That being said you don't have to limit yourself and not put discontinued/HTF stuff, but be aware that some discontinued stuff can either be pricy or just really hard to find. But that doesn't mean we wont try. So try to have a least a fair number of polishes that are somewhat easy to find :P

As you probably remember a few weeks ago I reviewed a bunch of polishes from Literary Lacquers The Good Parts Collection. And if you were keeping up with that you'll also remember that Literary Lacquers polishes are based on literature(Check out all the polishes here on Etsy). And as we all know *books + nail polish = awesome (The math doesn't lie). Long Story short along with the lovely Amy who runs Literary Lacquers we have come up with a pretty awesome giveaway.
In the comments section all yo have to do is tell us about your favourite book(or just one you really like) in a single paragraph. Then in that same comment describe what your idea of a nail polish inspired by that book or inspired by something in the book would look like (Only needs to be a sentence or two). When the contest is over we over at Varnished Valkyrie will choose our top entries. From there Amy will choose the winner, and sh will work with you in creating your own one of a kind polish!

2) Sit your bums down people. I'm about to tell you about an amazing and unique polish.
So first off I had no idea when this polish was from. Year or collection wise. So I had to do a bit of internet searching. Turns out it's originally from China Glaze's Mad About Hues collection from 2000.
I am now going to attempt to describe this colours. Under normal everyday light it looks like the first picture or the second. Dusty brown-ish purple with pink shimmer(You can see the purple better in real life). Or just kind of a nude-ish brown. But then under the flash and really bright light it leans toward a dusty pink full of shimmer. 0_o. And i went on in 2 flawless coats.
My first thought was "This is like SFW with a bit of flair". I love, love, love it. It's for those days when you maybe want to be more neutral and classy but still have a little pow. I've had this for a while but only recently wore it because I am silly. For the record I reel like you actually need to see this in person to fully understand how pretty it is.
3) I brushed by teeth with my electric toothbrush today for the first time. My mouth has never felt this clean :D
