Squiggly Splat!

Today I have some Born Pretty Store tip guides to show you. This is another manicure that I did a while ago(My nails aren't even this shape any more!) I showed you guys the Nail Vinyl's a few weeks ago for the first time as well as yesterday, but this was actually my first experience using weirdly shaped strips. Application wise, these were really easy to use. Not only that but, they were very sturdy.

I decided to try something a bit different and splatter over them. This was a bit harder because a)All I had were coffee stir sticks to blow through b)You had to get as close to full coverage for the pattern to show up. I ended up so winded by the end of it. I was actually taking breaks between fingers, to catch my breath. I finished off the look with some studs and beads(that bled :( )

Zombie Fingers!

That sounds like a yummy snack.

So since I have had my wisdom teeth pulled last Tuesday I have yet to paint my nails again.  My past couple of posts were done before last Tuesday.  I'll probably do something tomorrow because I've been naked for far too long now.

But until then I thought now would be the perfect time to share some nails I did last year for Halloween.  This was done right around the time I started getting into nails and trying my hand at nail art.  This was also a few months before I started this blog.

I LOVED how these turned out when I did them.  And to this day I still do.  I'm not 100% sure what I used though.  I know I started with Essie's Sew Psyched as a base.  Then I'm pretty sure I sponged on OPI's Suzie Loves Cowboys and Royal Rajah Ruby(I know I used this for sure) to give it that old blood look.  Finally I used a straw and splattered on Essie's Fishnet Stocking to look like fresh blood splatter.

Despite the fact that these are a bit old they are sill some of my favourite nails I have done to date.  I especially like how the right hand turned out!

The left hand is the larger picture and the right hand is the close up.

Ripping Out My Wisdom One Tooth At A Time

So I'm getting all four of my wisdom teeth pulled today!  Huzzah!  While I'm not looking forward to the next few days I'm excited because, if it means no more constant pain I'm all in!

Anyways I couldn't decided what I wanted to do so both my hands are worlds apart (and I don't care).

I guess my right hand is Halloween/teeth themed.  Each finger was originally going to be a bloody mouth.  But after I did the splatter I decided to leave it as it is.  They still kinda look like individual bloody teeth right?  It also doubles as general murder blood splatter. Double duty nails!  Also after I did the blood splatter (which as you guessed is a tad messy) I looked at my thumb and there was a smiley face on it.  Cool, or creepy?

Next up on my left hand I have my Take That nails.  Each nail represents a different song in some shape or form(Lyrics, music videos, tours). The songs are (T-P) Fun Times, Blurred Vision, Crossing, Innuendo, Higher Than Me. I really liked this mani so I had to post three photos of it.  Well that's sort of a lie.  I think the nails are ok.  The reason I posted it three times was for the surprise giveaway so you can see some of the nails better.  First off all the song titles I listed aren't real. I made them up.  If someone can tell me the real songs in the comment section you'll get your choice of any polish off ninja polish dot com. This is open internationally for the most part.  You know minus places that have rules against shipping polish.  Finally it closes at eleven fifty nine eastern standard time on Thursday night.

So I'll see you guys in a couple days!  Wish me luck!

This Isn't Your Grandmothers Easter Manicure

I wasn't going to do an Easter themed manicure because I really wasn't all that inspired.  All I really had was Easter eggs (Like last year).  But then I came up with this. The Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog ruins Easter nails! What a way to celebrate! I'm don't remember what I used. It was pretty much a free for all of what colours were laying around me. Not the best manicure but it still makes me smile :D (Is that wrong that a cute killer bunny makes me smile?)

In case you don't know anything Monty Python:
Any other Monty Python fans out there? I pretty much own everything they've ever done. Sketch comedy Gods.

Ps.  My tiny edit pencil is back at the bottom of my posts!!!  Huzzah!!!
