A lot of the times I consider my body to be in a state of permafrost. Well mainly my extremities. I'm always cold, and for the most part it doesn't bother me. I can actually do this cool thing in the winter mostly where I'll put my hand against a clothed person and you can slowly feel my cold. I like to pretend I'm a short Frost Giant :) The only time is kind of get's annoying is my feet at night. They take FOREVER to warm up. I find when your feet are uncomfortable cold(or hot) it just makes your whole body feel gross.
So today I have something requested by Robyn. Revlon Enthrall. It is indeed a beautiful colour! It's a dark olive green base with golden-olive shimmer. It was a simple two coats. My brush was a bit uneven, but I paid pretty much nothing for it at a warehouse sale so I'm ok with it. Just have to take a bit more time.
When I was looking at it it reminded me an awful lot of China Glaze Cast a Spell, so I decided to compare the two(a first for me!)! In the bottles you can immediately tell that their bases are different with Revlon being lighter. You can also see that the Revlon is a lot less sparkly. When you put them on the nail they look a bit more similar then when in the bottle. The big difference is Revlon as a whole is more olive toned and the shimmer is all the same. Where as Cast a Spell is a bit less olive and the shimmer varies from green to gold and has much smaller pieces as well as more. Overall I think I like the China Glaze more. For me it just has a bit more depth to it. That being said they are both BEAUTIFUL colors and I wold not kick Enthrall out of the bed(Unless Enthrall was being a douche). They are pretty much cousins.
Which do you like more?

China Glaze - Cast A Spell: Let's have a serious chat about ghosts, and Christmas.
First of all unlike aliens I can't say if I believe in ghosts or not. They may be real, they may not be. I don't know. I do know one thing though, if ghosts do exist they are creepy. Not in an "Eep that's a dead person" kind of way, they are creepy in a sketchy kind of way. When I think of ghosts I think "Oh, so are you watching me do stuff...that's weird". Think of how many people have died. I sometimes wonder is my room is filled with non threatening sketch ghosts. Are they lurking during special cuddles time? I wonder at times if ghosts are invading my privacy. This is something that troubles me.
Now the polish is from last years China Glaze Halloween collection. I actually bough it last year in December. I found it and I thought it would be perfect for my friend as part of her Christmas gift. Then the minute I brought it home I immediately changed my mind and decided it was mine. It does not count as taking back a gift if they never got it.
Cast A Spell is a black base full of olive/gold shimmer. It went on like a dream in almost one coat. But I did need a second for a bit of patchiness. It is soooooooooooooooooooooo pretty in real life. Had the sun come out for a bit longer today I would have had to have taken photos outdoors.
If you can still find this, I suggest you all go out and buy it! It's such a fantastic shade. I'm so glad I decided to keep this :)

China Glaze - Peace On Earth
1) Just an FYI you probably wont be seeing many post from George over the next few weeks or so. But not to fret! She left for South Africa today for 6 weeks! I'm sure she'll have loads of fun hanging out with the fam :)
2) Two people will still be blogging :P I have recruited Jon Bon Jovi. I haven't but wouldn't that be weird?
3) So I realized that I actually have a bunch of Holiday polishes! Crazy, I know! So I decided I should get on swatching them now that we're in the middle of holiday season. I is smart.
First up today I have China Glaze Peace On Earth which was from China Glazes 2010 Holiday collection. I actually swatched this weeks ago and when I was getting the photos ready I couldn't remember the name. When I saw it was Peach On Earth I got a bit sad with today's recent events. And I thought it's a shame I don't think that's ever going to ever be possible.
Well that's depressing.
The colour is so pretty!!!* Peace On Earth is a olive green and gold shimmer. Formula was flawless! Two easy coats and top coat. Boom magic. As of recently I have been a sucker for olive colours in general. Wallis being on of my favs(YOU WILL LOVE WALLIS PENNY...she won our giveaway).
4) Stay tuned early next week for what I can only assume will be a sweet manicure using some of the new pretties I was sent from Born Pretty! Also more Holiday swatches that I have been hording on my laptop!
*Amazing segue tyvm.

Wherein people know me better than I know myself...
So I didn't buy anything from the OPI German collection. After a cursory glance at swatches there wasn't much interest and I didn't feel like throwing any money at it.
But then, as is often now the case, someone gave me a bottle of polish(As a gift for baking them cookies, how sweet!), and they proved that sometimes people know you better than you know yourself.
Nein! Nein! Nein! Okay Fine! is an olive-y grey colour that I didn't think was too exciting until I actually put it on my nails. Now we're in love. It's so oddly flattering and wonderful! I can see myself pulling this out for classy occasions. It's just really cool. This is two easy coats
I hate the name, though. I think it was Kas who said it sounds creepy. And it does.

Roooooooooooowr. [Insert Other Cat Noises].
First off let me just say how pleased I am with these nails. I love how they turned out. I was convinced the lines would be off, the eyes would be different sizes, and at some point my hand would slip. But none of these things happened!
Ever since I got China Glazes Cats Eye(a gorgeous golden olive colour) I knew I had to do this manicure. Then I just did the top of a cats head on my thumb and a tail on my pinky because they felt naked. Also I did the shape of the eyes in white first as I didn't want to use more Cats Eye then needed.
I really have nothing to say about this manicure minus that I think it's great! *Pats self on back*. WAIT NO I DO HAVE SOMETHING ELSE TO SAY! THIS IS MY 100th POST (According to my tags at least). I probably have a bit over 100 as I'm not sure the first few entries are tagged. Still, Huzzah!

Urban Outfitters Forest + Butter London Wallis
Ever had one of those days where you do your nails, look at them and think... "No"? I had one today and (while I have tons of swatches to show for it) it was still frustrating. I did 7 full manicures before I had a winner. Urban Outfitters Forest and Butter London's Wallis.
Honestly the only reason I got Forest was a)It reminded me of Wallis (which I *heart*) and b)It was super cheap. Forest went on with no trouble at all in 2 easy coats. Like Wallis it's an olive gold. The main difference is Forest has really, really, really fine shimmer, where Wallis one ups it by packing itself which a whole crazy load of gold and green shimmer. Wallis is like the pretty older sister who will go on to win an Oscar. But don't worry Forest is great in her own way. She's the younger sister who's ok looking and finds the cure for AIDS.
I'm glad I have forest. All I need are 2 coats of her and one of Wallis and I'm good to go. I like knowing that I can now use Wallis more often.
