This is definitely not a-peeling: Peel off polish attempt #2

Well we can't say I didn't try. Today I have another peel off polish for you from Born Pretty Store it's by a brand called Témix. In the bottle it is beautiful. It's a goldish green that reminds me of Chanel Peridot but with holographic glitter.

Like it's counterpart from yesterday also dried quickly, but it also dried super bumpy. I'm not sure if it was air bubbles or fine pieces of glitter. To me it felt quite rough, which leads me to think they were fine pieces of glitter from previous layers. The formula was also brush stroke-y, but I was expecting it with this type of colour. Despite that it was not obvious at all once it dried.

This time around I used a base coat, and for one nail(which I forgot to photograph) peeled horizontally as someone suggested on Instagram. Overall the results were the same as yesterdays polish, and peeled the base coat and my nails. It's most noticeable on my ring finger.

Happy New Year!!!!!! - Orly Mirrorball

So my new years eve was uneventful, which was fine by me. Honestly my new years eve goes one of two ways. It's either super uneventful or I end up dry heaving on the side of the road yelling at bicycles. Apparently there is no such thing as in between for me.

Not only was mt NYE super uneventful, it was super last minute so I didn't do proper nail art. So I decided instead to just wear polish that I thought fit the occasion. I ended up choosing Orly Mirrorball, because it made me think of the giant ball drop, at midnight in Times Square. I would love to see that in person one day from the comfort of a hotel room. You couldn't pay me to stand crammed outside in a pen, probably a good 5 blocks away from the actual Times Square, for 12 hours, in the freezing cold and probably having to wear a diaper, because you can bet I'm going to have to pee at some point.

Back to polish. This polish is a silver linear holo, with larger pieces of scattered holo glitter. I used three coats, although I may have been able to get away with two. I just wanted to make sure my yellow nails didn't show up in the light. The formula was ok, but not the best. While it was pretty easy to control, it felt watery at the same time and I just didn't love application. Now I have heard people say they love this polish and others say they were disappointing. I honestly think the large glitter makes this polish. If you took them out it would still be pretty, but it would just be another silver holo. Also if you are someone who likes your polish to be super holo in all lights this may not tickle your fancy. It looks AMAZING under the sun or direct light, but in some lights falls a bit flat. Again in cases like that, the bigger pieces of holo glitter save it. If you are able to get your hands on this polish, I suggest you get it!

A England - Lady of the Lake: Birthday Nails!

So as you know my birthday was last week.  I posted Doctor Who, Dalek Rave nails.  But those weren't the nails I was actually wearing on my birthday.  I just thought it would be a really neat thing to get to post on my birthday.

A England Lady of the Lake was the polish I was wearing on my actual birthday.  I really didn't feel like doing anything special like cupcakes, or just in general birthday related nail art.  I just wanted simple.  Lady of the Lake is a rich, dark purple with scattered holo.  This is another brand of polish that get's it right when it comes to holos.  But then again my favourite types of holos are the more subtle ones that stand alone as a colour as well.  I used 2 coats on most fingers and 3 on a few because they were patchy.

Overall I LOVE this colour(and all of their polishes).  NEED MORE!
