So I have my Easter nails for you today. Generally for Easter I like doing something crazy, but this year I didn't have it in me. So Instead I just went with pretty(which is just as good). These nails were inspired by the Lindt gold Easter bunny. The week leading up to Easter I ate so many of the tiny ones. SO. MANY. It was to the point where I thought I had thrown out all my years of being retentively healthy out the door. But it was so hard to stop when they were free. Also it's a fact that everything tastes 100% better when it's free.
For this manicure I used China Glaze's Ruby Pumps for the base and Mingle With Kringle for the gold. And I used striping tape to get those sexy crisp lines. The bow was a sticker I got from Born Pretty Store.

Anyways let's talk chocolate! My first manicure is a Cadbury Cream Egg manicure. Now I'll let you in on a little secret. I'm not a chocolate lover, BUT I make exceptions when it comes my Quality Street and Cadbury Cream Eggs. If need be I would fight for them. Dirty fighting even. I will go for your soft bits. Annnyyyywwwaaayyss I did this Cream Egg manicure. It's all done with acrylic paint and polish with the exception of the middle finger, which is polish and the actual foil from a Cream Egg that sacrificed itself.
The second manicure is I guess what you could call "cute". It's a chick, being an adorable, sneaky little bastard trying to trick us into thinking he's a bunny. Dream on future chicken wing, dream on. The rest of my fingers are bursting with Easter spirit(shown through traditional Easter colors and carrots). All the nail art was done using acrylic paint. If you want to know what any of the polishes were in these just give me a shout!
Today I have for you a recreation of a manicure I did two years ago! As you all know by now I REALLY like Monty Python, and am permanently scarred for life because I can't see them all live. And for the past 2 years I have done an Easter manicure inspired by the sketch troupe. Two years ago I did a manicure inspired by the The Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog from film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, one of mt favourite films of all time. This year I decided to recreate it! The one main difference was the bunny. He is much cuter and throwing and eyeball. Awwwwwwwww.
This time around the egg nails look a lot better(even thought most got covered in blood). I think the colours suit Easter a bit more. Apart from the white base, the eggs were done almost entirely from acrylic paint that I had mixed. The bunny accent nail was done with a base of Orly Liquid Vinyl and paint. I like it A LOT better this time round :P

So sticking to with my Easter theme from last year(Killer Bunny) I kept it Monty Python. If you don't know who they are, get out. No, Im kidding. Just go out and get Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I feel that would be a good intro.
This manicure is based on the Python's movie Life a Brian. A story about Brian a Jewish man, born on the same day as, and is Jesus's neighbor who is subsequently mistaken for the Messiah. This is my opinion is their best film.
So I have been wanting to do these nails for a year. This is from the end of the film when everyone is getting crucified and
Brian's spirits are lifted when everyone starts singing "Always Look on
the Bright Side of Life". I'm not going to get into details as I don't
want to spoil the movie :P. The music notes represent the song(they are the actual beats). I would have put people on the crosses but they were to small #Nailartproblems101. My thumb is an alien spacecraft with a one eyed purple alien. In one scene Brian gets abducted by aliens. I know, I know...the spacecraft is different from the movie. But this is all I could do with my talent.
Polish wise I used OPI's Over the Taupe, Suzi Loves Cowboys, and my boyfriend scales walls as well as Sephora by OPI's Break a Leg Warmer, an Orly who's name escapes me at the moment and acrylic paint.

I wasn't going to do an Easter themed manicure because I really wasn't all that inspired. All I really had was Easter eggs (Like last year). But then I came up with this. The Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog ruins Easter nails! What a way to celebrate! I'm don't remember what I used. It was pretty much a free for all of what colours were laying around me. Not the best manicure but it still makes me smile :D (Is that wrong that a cute killer bunny makes me smile?)

I did these last year but never posted them anywhere. Call them what you will 10 months late or 2 months early.
I decided to keep it simple because if I recall correctly I didn't have much time to do these. Cute little easter egg nails I guess... or cute monster/dinosaur eggs... it can double for that right? It would currently make it more relevant. Cute monster/dinosaurs I assume have cute eggs. That was a weird thought.
Anyways I used OPI's Alpine Snow for the dots. Essie's Turquoise and Caicos for my pinky and middle finger and Sally Hansen's Lacey Lilac on my ring and index finger.
