Spring is here(sort of)!

Blah! I'm sick! I feel like we had this conversation only a few weeks ago. I'm currently doing all I can to minimize my cold symptoms and hopefully make it shorter. Luckily I have been working on this post for almost a week now, so I don't have to worry as much about it.

Today I have for you 3 sets of Incoco Nail Appliqués from their new Picture Perfect Spring 2015 collection. I haven't actually used nail wraps or appliqués in what seems like eons. So when this landed at my feet I was excited to play with them. These appliqués are made with nail polish and are very easy to apply. That being said they are not one size fits all, and sometimes(like in my case) you have to cut them so they fit properly. That can mean they take a little bit longer to put on, but once you figure out what appliqués fit you best and exactly how to cut each one, you get faster. Once I got them on my nails, I did top coat them even though the package said it had it's own base and top coat. Without it I noted they would start peeling the minute I tried to use my fingers. That being said I got really good wear out of it when I wore it with top coat. And I honestly don't think they would have stayed on for so long without it, but maybe that's an experiment for next time. I wasn't a fan of removal, as the adhesive that they use get's super sticky and gross when removed.

Overall I don't know if these designs are for me, but I did love the quality of the appliqués. They are great for designs you wouldn't normally do. If you would like a set of these, they retail for  $8.99(USD) at incoco.com starting March 16th, 2015. They also have 5 other designs.

Cherry Blossom
Sprigs of a soft pink sakura blooms

 Vintage Charm

This is the sticky residue I was talking about

Roses are red, violets are blue. This post is about roses.

Yet again I wake up with make-up still on and the clothing I wore the night before. I have a tendency of getting into bed and thinking "I'll just lie here for a few minutes, and then get up and change. And I always pass out within 30 seconds and wake up hours late feeling sticky. Blah. But my lipstick is still in place!

So I did a show last night and wanted to keep my nails simple, but still do a bit of art, so this is what i cam up with. This is Chanel Malice with Sinful Colors Gold Medal. And I used my Konad stamping plate in m65 on my index finger. I adore how this turned out. It's simple, but elegant, and not in your face. It also helps that Malice is one of my all time favourite polishes! It's sexy, vampy and has a formula like Velveeta, smooth and full of chemicals.

A-Z Challenge - Copy Cat: Watercolour Flowers

It's that time of the week again! Time to do the A-Z Challenge. This week the letter was C and we had to go off of Copy Cat. For this manicure I decided to recreate someone elses mani with my own twist.

This is actually something that I had saved on my phone and was going to do eventually. It's originally done by the amazingly talented _lastrega. Mine was done using acrylic paint and white polish. The one thing I was trying to do was get my flowers to look solid, but bleed together. It kind of did that on my middle finger, but because the flowers dried quickly it was hard to bleed them.

I'm super please with how these turned out. I wasn't even going to wear them as a proper manicure, just some quick art. Does any one else ever do that every now and then? Just do art for the sake of art and then take it off right away?

Roses are red, violets are- Wait no my roses are pink. The poem is irrelevant now.

Funny story(but not really). It's a nice surprise getting comments from you guys. And I mean it when I say surprise. I've started binge blogging(it's like binge drinking, but you feel a lot better the next morning). I will do maybe 5-7 blog posts at once and then schedule them, just so I have stuff for a while and I don't have to worry about it. That's not to say I don't do any non scheduled posts and move stuff around. But sometimes with the scheduled posts, and my insertion of new posts into the mix things get moved around and I totally forget about something I scheduled eons ago. For example I TOTALLY forgot about my Robbie Williams Nails and my Louboutin Nails until I got comments :P

Non-funny story aside let's get onto the nails! Today I have these Rose nails. It's only the second time I have done floral nails, but I love how they turned out! I originally was wearing just the green polish(Essie Sew Psyched) for an audition. When that was done I added the flowers to it with acrylic paint(I used bright pink and green. Then to make the pink lighter I added white, and to make the green darker I added black). I looked at a few tutorials, and honestly they were pretty much all the same general idea. If you would like to try this just google 'Rose Nail Art Tutorial' and I'm sure you'll find one you like. I then added some rhinestones to my index and pinky finger. Now the story of those rhinestones is actually a funny one.

So how was my second attempt at flowers?

Things that shouldn't be exfoliated: Eyeballs.

Just a quick post for now!

First a quick tale. The other day as I was rushing to get ready I got a microbead from by face wash IN MY EYE. Things that should never be exfoliated: Eyeballs! Did it ever hurt. Luckily I got it out and I'm all good now! It hurt for a bit, but stopped after 24 hours or so.

As for a manicure I have this one for you guys. It's my first floral manicure EVER! Yay! I kept it simple with daisy's. Oh and the base is Sally Hansen Pacific Blue(Old version).

Sorry this pic is blurry. Blame the microbead.
