Robbie Williams Spotted!

I don't know what it is with spots, but I just love how they look in a manicure. So when I saw Robbie Williams spotted outfit in his Swings Both Way Tour, I just knew I had to turn it into a manicure. This whole mani was done using polish(Orly Liquid Vinyl and Sinful Colors Snow Me White).

Ps. Speaking of Robbie, WHO ELSE IS EXCITED FOR NEW TAKE THAT*!!!

*Yes I know Robbie is not involved in this album.

Louboutin Nails(Polish not included) & Meeting a dead man.

In case you haven't figured out from the title of this post, this has nothing to do with the super pricey Louboutin polishes. I MAY get the red one in the future just for novelty sake, but as of now I don't own it. But just because I don't have the polish, doesn't mean I can't have some Lubu nail fun!

For this manicure I used Orly Liquid Vinyl and I topped it off with some black rhinestones from KKCenterHk. I loved how despite the fact that they are rhinestones, they still look really subtle and they don't overpower. They add just enough to the manicure. Then on the underside of my nails I used Essie's Fishnet Stockings to mimic the bottom of the shoes. I like how this turned out, but I think I would have liked it a bit more had I done them now, as I have more of a free edge.

Time for a funny Toronto International Film Festival story! So one of the days I was there a couple of the girls came in and they were super excited. They had seen the "mean uncle" from Harry Potter. When they told me I asked them if they were sure. They told me they were positive. I then informed them that the man who played Uncle Dursley(Richard Griffiths) had died more than a year ago.

Happy Birthday To MeeeeeEEeeeeee!

Over the past few years I have grown to hate birthdays. I always used to wonder why people stopped thinking getting older was awesome. It was amazing going from 8 to 9. I assumed it would be like that forever. Turns out it's not that way. Anyways I have never been one for proper birthday manicures(Cupcakes, divulging my age, that stuff). Even if I was a fan of them I don't think I would do them. So here are some nails that have nothing to do with my birthday!

So today my manicure is sort of Take That related(LEAVE ME ALONE! IT'S MY BIRTHDAY AND I DO WHAT I WANT). It's actually Jason related, because as some of you may know he left Take That two days ago. And I'm all sorts of sad because he was my favourite member. Is this what 1996 feels like? Anyways this mani is a nod at his performance from Take That Presents The Circus Live. At one point he wears some dandy striped trousers while singing the song Wooden Boat. Part of the lyrics are:

We go from green to blue to gold to black.
Breathe deep, who knows how long this will last.

Oooooooo and here is the performance! I suggest you watch it for you own health!

Now off to go drinking! I'll never say no to a Friday Birthday!

Let's celebrate the first full day of autumn with new nails, stinky polish, and a dusting of sadness :'(

You guys know I love Take That right? If you don't, get out now. Well today my Favourite member Jason Orange left the group. Now I know most of you are rolling your eyes, and that's fine. We all have out things that we like and others don't really understand. And let's be real, if you are a nail polish addict you probably know exactly how that feels. Anyways Boybands as a whole, but especially Take That, is my thing. They can come out with the worst album and I will still stand by them(face palming the whole time, but still). So while I am addend by Jason leaving I wish him and the rest of the band well as they move forward as a trio. I look forward to seeing what new stuff they make me throw my money at.

To make matters even worse(One hell of a first world problem day) I decided to wear Revlons Autumn Spice. First let me say that the formula was fantastic at just 2 easy coats. The colour is amazing! It's a chocolate brown, with golden brown flecks and I'm pretty sure there's also so pink flecks in there as well. Now as you know this is from their line of scented polishes. I was a bit iffy about getting it at first because of that, but I decided to just go for it as the colour was beautiful and it was a sale. It honestly smells like baby powder with a bit of spice. I can't tell you a specific spice as I'm not a spice connoisseur. It just really bothered me to the point where I started to feel a bit queasy. It was almost as bad as the "fresh" smelling feminine pads I accidentally bought.
FLASH*Ah-Ha*(Only way I could really show off that sparkle)
First world problems aside, I did get a new macbook the other day. And I broke my iPhone5(battery expanded) and Apple replaced it for free! AND I have new nails! So not all is bad in the world!

Ps. Here are some videos of Jason you should all watch:

Can never have too many Nail Vinyl manicures!

Here's just a quick post of a manicure I did a few weeks ago that I LOVED. For my base I use Picture Polish Mad Magenta, then I covered all the nails with some Nail Vinyls(both of which I used a few weeks ago in the Picture Polish Blog/Insta Fest 2014). Then I topped them all off with some Zoya Dahlia. I just love the contrast between the colours, but also the contrast between the texture vs. the non texture.

3 easy coats of Mad Magenta on her own. It's honestly the perfect bright pink for people who aren't massive fans of bright pink.

I'm Mr. Meeseeks! Look at me!

Today I'm going to share with you one of my new favourite TV shows! It's a cartoon called Rick and Morty. To sum it up, it's pretty much the adventures of Morty and his drunk/brilliant scientist grandfather Rick.

One of my favourite episodes is 'Meeseeks and Destroy'. Rick gives Morty's parents and sister a Meeseeks box in order to help them. Now the way a Meeseeks helps you is you press the button on the box and one appears. You then tell it what you want it to help you with. If you tell it to open a jar, it will open it for you. Then it will immediately stop existing as it has fulfilled it's purpose. In the episode Morty's father decided that he wants to take 2 swings off his golf stroke, as that is a simple task. Long story short it turns out that it's almost impossible for the Meeseek to help him. So the Meeseek uses the box and eventually gets a whole hoard of them to try and help. They all slowly get increasingly angry and frustrated as they can't seem to help him. Thus not fulfilling their purpose and existing MUCH longer then they should. Laughter all around.

"I'm Mr. Meeseeks! Look at me!" Meeseeks catchphrase.

Video clip of the Meeseeks in action!

Honestly I would suggest you all just go and watch the show. there's around 11 episode and they all clock in at around 20 minutes.

Squiggly Splat!

Today I have some Born Pretty Store tip guides to show you. This is another manicure that I did a while ago(My nails aren't even this shape any more!) I showed you guys the Nail Vinyl's a few weeks ago for the first time as well as yesterday, but this was actually my first experience using weirdly shaped strips. Application wise, these were really easy to use. Not only that but, they were very sturdy.

I decided to try something a bit different and splatter over them. This was a bit harder because a)All I had were coffee stir sticks to blow through b)You had to get as close to full coverage for the pattern to show up. I ended up so winded by the end of it. I was actually taking breaks between fingers, to catch my breath. I finished off the look with some studs and beads(that bled :( )

If you would like some of these head on over here to get them for only $1.58USD! And get 10% off with out discount code EAL91!

I met Channing Tatum...Sort of.

So I have been SUPER busy the past few weeks due to working at a production company during TIFF(Toronto International Film Festival). I was going to post these nails on the first day of TIFF, but I was honestly too tired. A trend that continued throughout the whole festival. Then to top it off the when everything started to wrap up, I started getting sick. Blah! Anyway, here are the nails I did for the opening of TIFF.

The tux nail was inspired by Not Your Average Nails. I totally forgot to credit her on on Instagram, and I felt so bad. I NEVER do that :(  I'll probably give her a shout out at some point.

You probably want to know more about the title of the post, right? Well, throughout the festival I saw a ton of celebs. My days were generally spent in a lounge, either helping guests, or dealing with social media. Before the lounge would open we would have to fix up the room for the day. On this day I helped a girl carry some ice back to the room for the wine. So as we were filling up ice, Steve Carell, and Mark Ruffalo walk past us in the hall(you know as they would on a normal day). Now this was neat and all, but the girl I was with had made it clear that the celeb she wanted to see was Channing(She made that clear multiple times in the days prior). When we had finished collecting the ice we started back to our lounge. As we turned a corner guess who turns the corner from the opposite direction. Yes, Channing. The girl I was with stops dead in her tracks, looks at him, and says "HOLY SHIT!". She them proceeds to try and grab a photo with him(He said no as he was on a schedule). Then we proceeded back to the lounge. It was probably the most hilariously amazing 20 seconds of the entire festival for me. It was also kind of strange to watch, mainly because celebs don't make me giddy in that way. It was all just very surreal.

I have a couple other stories, that I'll probably share later.
